ALESSANDRO COSTANTINI
ARTISTIC AND MANAGING DIRECTOR
Born and Raised in Sudbury, Alessandro is the Co-Founder and Artistic & Managing Director of YES Theatre, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.
In addition to his work with YES, Alessandro served as the Interim Associate Artistic Director for the Musical Stage Company in Toronto (2018). His work as an actor has taken him all across North America, most notably with the Tony Award winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen.

A proud northerner, Scott is excited to be working again in the arts, and expanding the presence of Musical Theatre in Sudbury. Scott joined the company in the fall of 2018 as Financial Manager, and was recently appointed General Manager and Executive Producer.

Janie Pinard is a francophone artist from Sudbury, Ontario. She has choreographed 12 large musicals as YES Theatre’s resident choreographer and made her directorial debut directing Marc Crawford’s Canadian play Bed and Breakfast.

ASSOCIATE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Ruthie is a multidisciplinary artist from Sudbury, Ontario currently working as the METCALF Artistic Directing Intern for YES Theatre. She graduated from George Brown Theatre School and spent six months in New York studying at the Broadway Dance Centre. Ruthie has worked at major Regional Theatre Companies such as Neptune Theatre where she was in the Canadian Premiere of the Colour Purple.

Tessa Balaz (Gooden) is multi-disciplinary artist from Sudbury. After graduating from MMA an accomplished cellist and attending Laurentian University for Music, she moved onto acting and performing in musicals with YES Theatre (HAIR, Rent, Spring Awakening, Jesus Christ Superstar), Thornloe Theatre (As You Like It) and the Sudbury Theatre Centre (The Drowsy Chaperone). She has now spent almost a decade writing and producing original music for herself and on production teams for major artists including Daniel Caesar, Drake, the Weeknd, Migos, Mariah Carey and more.

Matteo began in theatre as an Audio Engineer and Sound Designer working with YES theatre in his hometown of Sudbury, Ontario. Credits with YES Theatre include Merrily We Roll Along, Violet, James and the Giant Peach, Mamma Mia, to name a few. Since his time with YES, Matteo also works as a freelance Technical Director and Sound Designer in Toronto and owns and operates his own live- stream and recording studio in Sudbury, Night Owl Studios
Crystal Lee
Resident Production Manager
Crystal's interest in technical theatre and management began in her home province of New Brunswick where she worked as a Theatre Production mentor at the University of New Brunswick. Since then she's trained in the Opera Company/Stage Management Program at the Banff Centre for the Arts and is a recent Production and Technical Arts graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada.
Stephan Ermel
Resident Musical Director
Stephan Ermel is a music director, musician, actor and educator. He received his Advanced Diploma in Theatre from George Brown College and his Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Currently, Stephan is Professor of Vocal Music at George Brown Theatre School and the Resident Music Director of Children's Musical Theatre Project in Toronto. Stephan was Artistic Director of the independent theatre company Three Peasants, which staged the Canadian Premiere of the play Solferino.

Triga Creative is Alexandra Lord, Michelle Tracey and Shannon Lea Doyle: three next-generation designers of space, bodies and light for events and performance. Through harmony and disruption, Triga Creative creates extraordinary live experiences with an Eco Scenographic approach. Applying an autonomous, collaborative model that values the sustainability of people, planet and profit, Triga Creative is able to design for any scope, always at the human scale. Triga has been working to innovate sustainable approaches to design since being founded in 2017.
